We’re delighted to share the latest progress on Cranleigh Cricket Club’s fundraising campaign as we work together to secure the future of our facilities and deliver Phase 1 of the redevelopment project.
Progress to Date
Thanks to the incredible generosity and commitment of our members, partners, and the wider community, we have now raised over £400,000. Of this, £87,500 has already been invested in essential early works (new machinery store to make way for Phase 1) and statutory preparations (extensive planning documents for applications, architect drawings, tender process etc).
To deliver Phase 1 of the main build, scheduled to begin on Monday 7th September 2026, we still need to raise a further £100,000. With continued support and momentum, we are confident we can reach this target. Phase 1 includes the development of the whole of the ground floor – as a reminder for members, the architects drawing can be downloaded below in Documents.
Our fundraising progress so far includes:
• Generous club member donations which continue to be vital to our progress.(Crowdfunder campaign, fundraising events, private donations and some pledges still due in).
• Funding awarded from Your Fund Surrey, providing a major boost to the project.
• Interest free finance from the ECB, strengthening the long term viability of the development.
• Ongoing discussions with the Surrey Cricket Foundation regarding additional funding opportunities available to us through the ECB’s newly launched County Grants Scheme.
• A bid submitted to Waverley Borough Council for Community Investment Levy funding (decision due April 2026). Success with this bid would mean we could deliver both phases at the same time, saving valuable time and some funds. Phase 2 is the development of the first floor, including the lift and the balcony.
Every contribution—large or small—brings us closer to delivering the facilities our club and community deserve.
SAVE THE DATE
To help us to reach our Phase 1 target in September we’re excited to announce a Club Fundraising Day on Sunday 14th June 2026. This will be a fantastic opportunity for members, families, and supporters to come together, celebrate our progress, and help push us toward our final Phase 1 fundraising milestone. More details will follow soon.
From all of us on the Management Committee, thank you for your support!
