We’re holding New Member Nets on Wednesday 27th March. Pop down, have a bat or bowl and meet some existing members of the club.
Ask any questions you have about playing for Cranleigh CC, and we’ll do our best to give you a flavour of what it’s like. There’s no obligation to join once you’ve attended nets, but we hope you’ll like what you see.
We’re a friendly club, with a number of teams, so are on the lookout for players of all standards. We play a range of formats – from 100 overs on a Saturday to midweek evening T20 – and don’t expect you to be free for every game of the season, so you can easily fit your cricket around work and family commitments.
We keep our subs as low as possible, to make the club accessible to all. We’re lucky enough to play in a beautiful setting on Cranleigh Common. And we’re strong believers in playing fairly, within the spirit of the game – so much so, that we’re proud to say that we won the Surrey Championship Fair Play League in both 2017 and 2018, as voted for by umpires on a weekly basis throughout the season.
Nets will be held at 9-10pm at the Surrey Cricket Centre at George Abbott School in Guildford on Wednesday 27th March. The full address is Surrey Cricket Centre, George Abbott School, Woodruff Avenue, Guildford GU1 1XX. The cost is £5 per person.
We’d like to get an idea of numbers in advance, so please email Matt Crump to let us know you’re coming.
If you can’t make it to nets, don’t worry – prospective players are welcome at our Golf Day on Sunday 7th April. Or alternatively, just drop an email to Dave Griffiths and he will be happy to answer any questions you might have.
